Word of mouth is the best advertising. Why not tap into that with a focused mobile phone advertising campaign?

If you’ve been smart about collecting phone numbers of your clients, you could text them on their anniversary or special day, offering them a VERY special deal. While the effort may seem to have a small return on an individual basis, it can accomplish two things.

One, and perhaps most important, it can create brand loyalty.

Second, it can get passed along. Simply offer the same offer to anyone to whom that person forwards the message. People who text message on a regular basis are used to forwarding information that catches their attention to all their friends. The possibilities of your message reaching far more than your original recipient are huge.

This same strategy works with email, too, but the mobile phone market is even more likely to react. (Don’t forget to put a deadline on your offers.)
