The stats don’t lie

“I don’t need to advertise – everyone in Powell River knows where I am… what I do… who we are.” No doubt, you’ve felt that occasionally, especially if you’ve lived or done business in Powell River for a long time. I know you’ve felt it – because some of you have said it to me.

But it’s not true. And the stats prove it.

Between 2006 and 20011 (the last time frame figures are available for), 3,135 people moved to Powell River. That’s right: 16% of the population has been in town for less than five years.

Now, if you can afford to ignore 16% of your potential customer base, go ahead thinking that “everybody knows what we do.”
But if you’d like a 16% bump in business, think about how you should be introducing yourself to new residents.
